Born in Quebec City, Canada in 1973, Erika Dufour grew up in France till the age of eight, before her family settled in suburban Chicago. After studying photography at Columbia College, she developed her artwork, which incorporates stark minimalism and ethereal objects. In addition to exhibiting and teaching, she currently works as a commercial photographer in Chicago.
